“Red, red, wine.
Goes to my head”
From “Red, Red, Wine” by Bob Marley.

So, we spent Sunday afternoon with close friends who have just had a new baby. We’d prepared food the evening before and had a great time just chilling out, eating and talking over a meal – our respective families intertwining and celebrating the arrival of a new member.
Our friends had specifically got a bottle of red wine that they thought I’d appreciate.
The text on the back read, “Duke “Big Kahuna” Kahanamoku is known as the father of surfing. His surfing exhibition at Sydney’s Freshwater Beach on 23rd December 1914 was one of the most significant events in the development of the sport in Australia. To this day, the best surfer on the beach can claim the title “The Big Kahuna”.
On Sunday I was that person, simply because I was the only one sat around the table who has ventured on a surfboard. That aside, it still felt great!
So, yes, the red wine did go to my head – but not in the way most people associate!

That’s so cool!!!
